CARPOOL prides itself on its extensive risk management procedures and proactive approach to the safety of its members. CARPOOL is possible because it is able to take a risky operation and make it safe enough that its members, patrons, and the university are comfortable with the service.

CARPOOL purchases five insurance policies that cover each CARPOOL driver, navigator, or Herschel at all times while he/she is working CARPOOL.

CARPOOL members are required to fill out a pre-event planning form for any event that requires outside a normal level of risk. It is just one of the ways CARPOOL can ensure the safety of its volunteers.
