Information for Prospective Members

Help keep Aggieland safe while gaining community, leadership experience, and making a real impact.

How the Process Works

  1. We host two application cycles each semester—one at the beginning and another around mid-semester.

  2. If your application is accepted, expect an interview the following week. Accepted members attend a mandatory orientation.

  3. Questions anytime? Tap the email button above.

Why Join CARPOOL?

Service Hours

Members work at least 4 nights per semester (6–7 hours each) plus a few events, totaling ~33 hours per semester—great experience for your résumé.

Community

Meet students from across majors. From study nights to pickup soccer and D&D, you'll find your people and make a real difference together.

Leadership Opportunities

Join a committee or serve on staff to help steer operations, sponsorships, and outreach while growing practical leadership skills.

Scholarships, Merch & Prizes

Active members are eligible for CARPOOL scholarships, get member-exclusive merch, and can win prizes throughout the semester for showing up, serving, and leading.

Free Food

Every ops night is sponsored—pizza, tenders, Tex-Mex, and more. (Food is provided on work nights.)

No Car or License? No Problem.

No Personal Car Required

We partner with Enterprise and rent a fleet each weekend, so members don't use personal vehicles and riders get clean, well-maintained cars. You'll never be asked to use your own car for operations nights.

Plenty of Non-Driving Roles

A driver's license isn't required to volunteer. Plenty of roles aren't driving like navigating, answering phones, and staffing the Northgate Station. We won't assign a role you're uncomfortable with.

Member Stories

"It's a great way to help the community and it's great everybody knows each other and you get to be with everybody, serving the same mission and goals."

"I was personally a victim of drunk driving. I had experienced that and I wanted people to not have to experience that. I've felt so great being a part of CARPOOL. There is a certain kind of bonding that comes with working people at 2, 3, 4 a.m. It really does feel like I am making an impact."

"Since joining CARPOOL my freshman year, I've made a lot of friends and gained a lot of confidence. I'm better at talking to new people now and I certainly know the BCS area much better."

"It is an easy and fun way to get community service hours and help your community. I joined because it gave me a fun thing to do on Friday and Saturday nights and socialize. CARPOOL has given me a social outlet with people I would likely never meet, and I'm happy to know them."

"I joined CARPOOL to make a difference in the campus and BCS communities!"

"It's a great way to volunteer while meeting a lot of fun people. You get to have a tangible impact on people in the community."
